A Brief Guide on Public Space Planning, Design, and Maintenance for Small Jordanian Municipalities

This generously illustrated guide contains guidance on the design and maintenance of public open space in a succinct and easy to use format. It also provides an introduction to the concept and benefits of Green Infrastructure. It focuses on the micro-scale (i.e., the design of parks and public gardens, plazas, and street-scapes), rather than the macro-scale (i.e., planning spaces at the level of districts or cities). Due to the short length of the document, the focus of the discussion is on simple, easily implementable design and maintenance solutions that are within the reach of the budgetary and technical resources of small and medium-sized municipalities.
